Birthdays & Anniversaries

Once a year we all are blessed with a birthday. Some people get all excited, others dread it & try to ignore it and others profess they will remain 39 forever or just not have anymore birthdays. Strange the way people react to this particular day, huh?

It's as if, all of a sudden, BAM! You're a year older; which you are but, when you stop and think, it wasn't all at once. It was arrived at in a very simple way, one day at a time. When you consider it that way, it isn't so hard on the nerves, right?

But, it's the children who make it so special to parents. They get so excited they can't sit still and keep listing off their greatest wishes for the special birthday gift from Mom & Dad and other family and friends. And yet, I've noticed even if the gifts mentioned aren't there, the excitement is the same and happiness glows from their eyes. And I think that's a special gift to parents from God. For that I've give "thanks" to God.

So, if it's your birthday this month, I hope it's the best one you've ever had and you're remembered by family and friends, again.
